New Project Branches Out

Updated: Jan 31, 2020

After the success of the initial set of workshops, Music Pool's theraputic music sessions expand and develop to include work with the NHS

October 2018 saw the launch of WELL SPRINGS, a new partnership project between The Music Pool and Herefordshire Mind, local charity providing help and support so that nobody has to face a mental health problem alone.

The initial 10 sessions, led by local professional musician Aidan Sheehan, were so well received and positive, the decision was taken to continue the provision into 2019.

A further 10 sessions have been arranged, starting in February, taking the sessions into April 2019.

With the sucess of WELL SPRINGS, we are incredibly pleased to announce that a smiliar project is being rolled out from February to April, in partnership with Oak House, a rehabilitation unit in Hereford which serves the county of Herefordshire, run by 2gether NHS Foundation Trust.

The new songwriting sessions at Oak House will also be led by Aidan Sheehan and it is the hope that the success and positivity of WELL SPRINGS can be replicated at this new setting.

Both these projects have been made possible with the generous support from Sam Morley Charitable Trust, to whom we are incredibly grateful.
