The Music Pool is currently in transition, and we will become a subsidiary of Encore Enterprises CIC during 2020. Remaining a Registered Charity, we will continue to raise funds from a variety of sources, and will commission music work in the community, mainly through Encore.
The Music Pool was originally founded in 1988, as Hereford Arts in Action Ltd., and took on the operating name 'The Music Pool' in 1998, as the community music charity for Herefordshire and its borders.
We've operated and enabled a variety of music activities, some also involving related arts, such as drama, dance and writing. Our work has taken place in many different settings.
In 2010, The Music Pool received The Elgar In Hereford Award, in recognition of our contribution to the musical life of the county.
