The Garrick Singers

The Garrick Singers

Singing group for retired people and those aged 60 or over

The Garrick Singers began in early 2013, as a partnership endeavour with The Courtyard Centre for the Arts.

This new singing group is led by the experienced and multi-talented musician, Jon Watson, leader of The Hereford Fire Choir, often working with us during The Gathering Wave project as conductor and choir leader.

The Garrick Singers is a very welcome addition to our musical menu of provision, especially as it sees a revival of regular sessions for older and retired people, which sadly had to be suspended due to lack of
funding back in 2010.

This weekly (term time) group is open to
anyone who is retired or aged 60 or over; it will cover music of all styles, genres, traditions and languages.  There will be no auditions and there is no need to read music - just a willingness to sing!

Due to popular demand and over-subscription, there are now TWO sessions per date.  Please book onto 1 of the 2 sessions.

Sessions take place at The Courtyard from 12:00noon - 1:30pm & 2:00-3:30pm at a cost of 4 per session.
Please note that parking is payable separately (**members of The Courtyard Friends can park for free after 12noon in The Courtyard car park).
**Please note: from 5 April 2017, you must be a Courtyard Patron to qualify for free parking (from 10am onwards)

To book a place on The Garrick Singers, please contact The Courtyard Box Office on 01432 340555.
Spaces are limited so we highly receommend booking in advance.
