The Music Pool gets a boost from Sainsburys

2nd May 2014

Hereford branch of Sainsbury's have very kindly purchased instruments and equipment for our projects, to benefit the participants

Two areas of The Music Pool's work were given a nice bit of support recently, thanks to the generosity of the Hereford branch of Sainsbury's.

Having heard about our SPLASH! Appeal, they contacted us and asked whether they could contribute to our work by purchasing some instruments and equipment for some of our projects!

They provided a brand new Epiphone semi-acoustic guitar for our youth project LIVEWIRE; a radio mic and a great collection of hand-held percussion instruments for our special needs projects YAM JAMS & SCOPE Music.

The guitar has already been put to good use by Livewire participants, during the most recent Easter Livewire Central, for performances and aiding the songwriting process for many of the young people.  It will be producing some decent music at the Hereford River Carnival gig tomorrow night at The Herdsman, where Livewire participants will also be playing!

Lofty, lead artist, and the gang at YAM JAMS & SCOPE Music have also been using the rest of the bundle to the test on a weekly basis, bringing a huge amount of enjoyment for participants and carers alike.

The Music Pool would like to take the opportunity to express our heart-felt thanks to Sainsbury's for their generosity.  Our instruments and equipment get used on a weekly basis so can deteriorate with the wear and tear of it all, so it's wonderful to have Sainsbury's provide our participants with the use new equipment and instruments.
