Splash! Appeal coverage prompts kind donation from local benefactor

The Music Pool's SPLASH! Appeal, supported very kindly by Hereford Times, launched in December 2013.  This new fundraising appeal has had coverage, every month, in the local paper, highlighting some of the work that we do in the community.

The December issue covered the launch of the Splash! Appeal with a brief round up of some of our past and current projects.  January covered our Youth Music project, Swingbridge which has brought pre-school music, movement and singing activities to 15 seperate locations in Hereford South Wye Hereford, Clehonger and Madley.  The project began in October 2012 and is due to end at the end of this month; The Music Pool are currently trying to secure funding to continue the project beyond March 2014.
The latest issue in February, covered Sing Spring In, a project commissioned by Herefordshire Music Service, which develops singing activities in 34 county schools, bringing singers from clusters of schools together for end of term culminatory events.

This week, The Music Pool received an incredibly generous donation from a someone in the local community, who saw the latest Splash! Appeal coverage in the Hereford Times, visited our website and made an online donation to the tune of £1,000, via our donate page.
They have also joined our Friends of The Music Pool scheme, which is another way to keep updated with what we have been up to, via our regular Newsletters.
'It's wonderful to know that The SPLASH! Appeal is working,' said head coordinator of the appeal, Sybella Kirkbride, 'this kind donation is very good news indeed for The Music Pool and I'm extremely chuffed!'

To date, the appeal has raised over £8,500.

We're asking the people of Herefordshire to help us raise £50,000. Please give whatever you can - even small donations make a difference.
