SCOPE sessions bounce back after unexpected break.
Some important Music Pool work, which had to be suspended earlier this year due to funding cuts, has now been restored with new grant support.
The Music Pool had been running weekly 2-hour sessions with people with physical disabilities, mostly clients of SCOPE/First Key Group, Martha House and the Martha Trust, and their carers, supported by a grant from the Arts Council. However, the service had to be suspended when The Music Pool's grant from the Arts Council finished in April 2011.
But a recent grant award from the Eveson Charitable Trust means that the sessions can be restored, and have recently begun again. 'These sessions bring a significant benefit to the lives & well-being of those participating' said Rob Strawson, The Music Pool's Director. 'We had the first new session last week, and there was a room full of very happy people.'
