Fundraising event benefits The Music Pool
A recent fundraising event, held at the Cider Museum in Hereford, has raised more than £7,000 for The Music Pool.
The evening, involving a special tasting of select and exclusive ciders & perries with Bulmers' specilaists was hosted by Hereford's MP and Music Pool patron, Jesse Norman, who made a speech at the event.
A raffle and promises auction included items such as an evening performance by soprano Linda Tolchard, a balloon flight, a week in a country house in France, and signed books by Quentin Letts & Jo Brand, and there was also entertainment on hand from Jon Watson at the piano, and Robbie & the Ripples, The Music Pool's in-house staff trio!
'This is a welcome boost for us,' said Dennis Schiavon, Administrator of The Music Pool 'Especially at a time when arts charities such as ourselves are experiencing difficulty among public spending cuts. We're so grateful to Jesse Norman, our dedicated group of supporters & helpers, and all who donated and bought prizes - and we're glad everyone had great fun too!'
