These sessions are private, specifically for pupils of The Brookfield School and are not open to the general public.
The Brookfield School
opened in January 2001, providing specialist education for pupils in
Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 (7-16) all of whom have a Statement of Special
Educational Need. Student's primary needs are identified as
behavioural, social and emotional difficulties (BSED), with additional
complex needs such as Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic
Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hpyeractive Disorder (ADHD)
and Semantic Pragmatic Disorder.
The school has a capacity of 80
students which includes 8 full time equivalent students in the
'Intervention Group' who are students attending from mainstream schools
who are in danger of permanent exclusion. There is an off site unit
(The Arrow Group) consisting of secondary age students wich a history of
very challenging behaviour and poor attendance.
