Saturday Play Scheme sessions for Marches Family Network participants
covers various activities relating to the arts. These regular sessions
are designed to suit the needs of the participants present on the day
and encourages fun group activities for children with a range of
disabilities and their siblings and parents.
These
sessions are private, specifically for familes accessing services
through Marches Family Network and are not open to the general public.
Marches Family Network were established in 1982 (under the auspices of Contact a Family)
as a small self-help parent group, providing high quality respite care
services for children with disabilities and special needs. In 1995, the
organisation became independent, grew, and today provides support to
over 320 familes in Herefordshire, Shropshire and the surrounding areas.
Marches
Family Network support children from the age of 3 through to 19,
providing age and ability appropriate activities for all, while families
get some valuable 'me time'.
