The quartet performs a varied mixture of jazz standards and well known favourite songs, adding their own individual twist and style.  Inspired by the likes of Courtney Pine, Grover Washington Jnr and Gerald Albright, The Kim Cypher Quartet breathes new and exciting life into a wide repertoire, incorporating music by Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Imelda May, Caro Emerald and Liane Carroll to name just a few.  Musicians from The Kim Cypher Quartet perform regularly for Jazz events, including performances at The 2010 and 2011 Cheltenham International Jazz Festival Fringe, performance at one of Bristol's most popular 'live' music venues, The Coronation Tap, performance at the launch of last year's Cheltenham Literature Festival plus regular performances at local Jazz venues.

The Saturday Cafe is an informal series of gigs, promoted by The Music Pool in partnership with The Courtyard, with support from Herefordshire Council. Gigs are on most Saturday lunch times, in the cafe/bar of the Courtyard in Hereford. We feature some of the best talent in Herefordshire and beyond - Jazz, Swing, Blues, Bluegrass, Roots and more - and of course there's the Courtyard's great food & drink too!
